Job Description

Electroless Nickel/Electroless Palladium/Immersion Gold (ENEPIG)Process Management

  • Oversee the entire ENEPIGprocessesto ensure the successful deposition of Ni, Pd, and Au on semiconductor glass substrates
  • Maintain and control process parameters, including temperature, pH, chemical bath composition, and immersion times, to ensure high-quality surface finishes
  • Monitor and optimize the processesto ensure that the final surface finish meets the required industry specifications and customer demands for durability, reliability, and functionality;Process Optimization Improvement
  • Continuously improve the ENEPIG surface finishing process to enhance performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness by analyzing process data and identifying areas for improvement
  • Experiment with alternative chemical formulations and process modifications to enhance coating adhesion, uniformity, and longevity, while reducing cycle time and waste
  • Collaborate with RandD staff to develop new surface finishing techniques or enhancements for ENEPIG that can better meet emerging requirements in semiconductor packaging glass substrates;SurfaceQuality Control and Assurance
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of the surfaces using surface characterization techniques to verify uniformity, thickness, and adhesion of the deposited layers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve surface defects, such as poor adhesion, incomplete coating, roughness, or contamination, to maintain high-quality product output
  • Ensure consistency in the finish surface quality by performing routine bath analysis, assessing deposit integrity, and implementing corrective actions when required;Collaboration and Technical Support
  • Work closely withthecross-functional teams, including manufacturing, RandD, and qualityteams, to ensure the ENEPIG surface finishing process integrates smoothly with other packaging processes and meets the overall product requirements
  • Provide technical support and training to operatorsand technicianson proper ENEPIG process handling, quality assurance methods, and safety protocols;Data Analysis andProcessReporting
  • Analyze process performance datato identify trends and potential areas for process refinement
  • Provide regular updates to management on process improvements, performance metrics, and troubleshooting efforts, as well as recommend changes to optimize surface finishing;Troubleshooting and Process Optimization
  • Identify and resolve process issues that affect surface finish quality, such as contamination, coating defects, and inconsistencies, ensuring minimal downtime and process disruptions
