Hitachi Energy is seeking aContinuous Improvement (TPM) Leader for the North American (NAM)Hub, with primary focus on TPM (Total Productive Maintenance). TheITM system is the global Transformers business unit Lean managementsystem defining how we operate as an organization and how we runthe business. This role is responsible for leading and driving TPMspecifications, requirements, training material, best practices andassessments across all NAM sites. The role is focused on processimprovement, ITM system maturity and demonstrated improvement inKey Performance Indicators (KPIs). Successful candidate will be abusiness partner to NAM Factory Managers and Maintenanceleaders.

Your Responsibilities:

Partners with cross-functional leadership teams and Maintenanceleaders in developing and operationalizing the Strategy Deploymentprocess. Facilitates development of breakthrough objectives, actionplans, KPI’s (Bowlers) and leads in development of Kaizen plan tosupport the overall needs of the organization. Lead inoperationalizing Strategy Deployment, ensuring effective LeaderStandard Work (LSW) and a connected Lean daily managementsystem. Change agent and champion of a continuous improvement culturefocused on waste elimination across the organization using ITM leanmethods, processes, and tools, and with focus on deploying improvedTPM system, improving 5S/ visual management and Kaizen approach.

Lead and advance the organization through the ITM phases ofdeployment, closely monitoring ITM Maturity Development results andfacilitates implementation of actions, driving to the ideal statein which ITM is how we operate as an organization. Drive optimization of KPIs throughout the functionalorganizations that you support, including implementing leading TPMindicators throughout Maintenance. Lead and facilitate processimprovement for the organization and partner with extendedcross-functional teams, at all levels of the organization, onoverall use of ITM tools to drive productivity. Develop Financialacumen to ensure priority actions are focused on driving the rightimprovements in the business, impacting the bottom line. Create, manage, and facilitate the development of Cost-out andproductivity projects across the business to achieve targets, withfocus on TPM process maturity. Facilitate and train team members inutilization of RELEX reporting of Improvement projects. Ensureeffective sustainment of results and support problem solving (RootCause Countermeasure) as needed to close gaps to targets, as wellas driving Transactional Process Improvements. Build continuous improvement capability through training andimplementation of ITM tools and methods. Be the expert on the ITMsystem and on the TPM system, with focus on training and coachingothers to build people and organization capabilities. Build aCoaching culture across the organization with focus on EmployeeEngagement and Accountability. Combine technical knowledge withpeople and organizational skills to deliver organizational maturityand KPI improvements. Your Background:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business, and 15+ years ofexperience in areas of Lean operating/management systems,continuous improvement, manufacturing, engineering, and/or TotalProductive Maintenance deployment. Experience in the implementation of one of the following:

Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System, HoneywellOperating System or similar. Experience installing a CMMS, managing a maintenance team,developing Autonomous Maintenance (AM) programs, tracking andimproving KPIs for the maintenance department, etc. Track record of delivering breakthrough results impacting thebottom line, including improved Overall Equipment and Effectiveness(OEE). A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, with strongcommunication skills and demonstrated ability to fosterteamwork. Developing strategy and translating into actionable plans &driving sustainable change through influence. Experience in challenging conventional thinking, approach andmethodology and driving improvements, and the ability to lead teamsthrough influence without authority. Proven capacity to coordinate and lead teams, working indifferent geographic locations. Certifications are a plus in Lean/ Six Sigma (e.g., LeanMaster, Lean Expert, Black Belt, etc.). Ability to travel to all NAM Factories throughout North Americaon a periodic basis, with travel expectations greater than 50% (upto 75%).
