Closing Date 05/27/2025 General Definition of Work The operations productivity improvement analyst, under general supervision, performs moderately complex work with limited decision-making discretion compiling and analyzing data to support the operation and efficiency of the division. The position is responsible for reporting data related to maintenance and trades workorders. The employee performs district-level work to carry out Board of Education policies under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer. Salary/Status Hourly NC 13/Full-time, 12 months Reports To Chief Operations Officer Place of Work The normal place of work is on the premises used by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Essential Functions Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures
Audit and analyze work orders including the backlog status by quantity, location, department, work order category, work order response classification, and available manpower
Partner with supervisors to prioritize completion of work orders, both scheduled and unscheduled work
Communicate with division and district leadership to address significant concerns/complaints
Provide regular statistical reporting showing quantitative evidence of the productive use of the workforce
Measure and publish KPI metrics to the leadership team
Support process and data driven improvements and solutions to enhance efficiencies
Develop and deliver training for maintenance staff and school-based personnel on work order software functions
Prepare reports, memos, presentations, standard operating procedures, process maps, and other correspondence as requested Participate in professional development and other meetings
Perform related work as assigned or required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Knowledge of county and school board policies, procedures, and standards regarding school systems
Knowledge of facilities operations and maintenance trades related to a complex organization that manages a high-volume of work orders
Knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management (CMMS) and related systems/software experience
Knowledge of the principles and methodologies for process mapping and standard operating procedure (SOP) development
Knowledge of Six Sigma Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve & Control (DMAIC) Principles
Ability to maintain professional and emotional control under stress
Ability to learn and use specialized tools, equipment or software related to business needs
Ability to implement local, state, and federal rules, guidelines, and procedures into daily business operations
Ability to communicate effectively

Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license or ability to provide own transportation
Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings
