Operations Research Analyst/Data Scientist 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Egg Harbor Township, NJ A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking an Operations Research Analyst/Data Scientist to conduct quantitative analysis using operations research tools, economics, and other quantitative techniques in the areas of procedural implementations and performance issues. This position creates analysis procedures. It also assists in the definition of machine learning and data mining strategies. Creates, deploys, maintains and refines decision management models. As well as a specialist in modeling and simulation functions or operations such as, but not limited to exercises, plans, coordination, demonstrations, and instruction in the fields such as, but not limited to health, environmental, transportation, law enforcement, and security for military and civilian agencies.

Responsibilities:

Will provide support to The NAS Enterprise Services Group, AJW-17. AJW-17 provides engineering support and serves as the Office of Primary Responsibility for numerous commissioned NAS systems which undergo regular security related evaluations and vulnerability remediation activities. In addition to operational NAS systems, AJW-17 also manages E-OSE, Abacus and numerous development and test laboratories supporting NAS systems or infrastructure. The entire AJW-17 portfolio is subject to FAA security evaluations, compliance testing and remediation activities requiring an ongoing need for Cybersecurity expertise. Support of the

Enterprise Services Group, this position supports the ATO in providing system development lifecycle support for NAS enterprise level Facilities & Equipment (F&E) funded Cybersecurity services and solutions as well as Operations (OPS) funded activities. Support the integration of Cybersecurity standards and policies into NAS systems in compliance with the enterprise architecture at the strategic and tactical levels. Conduct quantitative analysis using operations research tools, economics, and other quantitative techniques in the areas of procedural implementations and performance issues. Support all phases of test and evaluation. Conduct system analysis, engineering, and design activities. Assess and report on system performance measurements. Support network studies and analysis. Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs). Assist in the preparation and review of technical program documentation. Provide Network Engineering and Planning support as required. Determine impacts, perform testing, and review test materials for completeness and compliance. Work collaboratively to develop plans which encompass requirements analysis, evaluation of interfaces, system level design, network engineering and other related government and industry standards as well as coordinate with interfacing NAS User Programs on functional requirements. Assist in the development, management and maintenance of configuration plans, standard operating procedures, and policies. Support the implementation of Configuration Management (CM) process and practices. Assist in recording the status of configuration documentation and revision tracking to ensure documentation is complete and consistent. Participate in product audit planning, execution, documentation and produce audit reports. Must participate as a member of an FAA team when directed by the TC.

Skills Required:

Support requirements definition and analysis through implementation and all lifecycle support phases. Detail oriented, independent, self-motivated, and a proactive team member Excellent oral and written communication skills effective with operational, technical, and senior management audiences Strong analytical background and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable making presentations.

Skill Preferred:

Experience with FAA NAS or Mission Support systems. Extensive and detailed knowledge of FAA NAS systems.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in physical sciences (mathematics, physics, meteorology, chemistry, etc.) operations research, economics, computer science, engineering, business, information systems, information technology, management science or a degree in a related field and 15-20 years relevant experience. Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.
