Compensation Range:
$26.90 – $37.66 The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL SUMMARY
Supports initiatives that enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of services within the university and/or medical center. Works closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, develop solutions, and implement changes that align with the strategic goals of the institution.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conducts detailed assessments of existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Utilizes process improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, to design, test, and implement solutions. Develops solutions through process maps, flowcharts, and other documentation to support analysis and improvement efforts. Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure proposed changes meet the needs of the University and/or medical center. Completes multiple process improvement projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals. Develops project plans, timelines, and budgets and tracks progress against metrics. Facilitates regular project meetings and communicates status updates to stakeholders. Identifies and mitigates risks associated with process improvement initiatives. Monitors the effectiveness of implemented changes, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes. Collects, analyzes, and interprets data related to process performance, identifying trends and insights that inform improvement efforts. Maintains dashboards, reports, and other tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs). Compiles information for presentation to leadership. May present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner. In concert with leadership, works closely with faculty, staff, and administrators to understand needs and ensures process improvements are user-centered and sustainable. Builds and maintains relationships across department to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Ensures all process improvement initiatives comply with relevant regulations, policies, and standards. Participates in quality assurance activities, including audits and reviews, to ensure ongoing compliance and performance. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience required Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated experience in leading complex projects and working with cross-functional team required Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, Tableau) required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels required Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities required Knowledge of relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements in a university and medical center setting required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
