Our facilities include a championship golf course, equestrian center, gun club, and various dining options. Summary We are seeking a Director of Process Improvement to join our team at Brays Island Plantation. This pivotal role will focus on enhancing operational efficiency across our diverse facilities and services. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in process improvement to drive strategic initiatives that align with our commitment to excellence.

Job Scope :

The Director of Business Analytics and Process Improvement is responsible for overseeing all aspects of data analysis and business planning, KPI development, identifying and implementing solutions, automation of work flows, change management, and ensuring process controls are documented. The Director of Business Analytics and Process Improvement reports to the General Manager & COO and supports the Finance Committee, Audit Committee, and members of the Board of Directors. In conjunction with General Manager & COO, ensures that all operations and services are conducted in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of Brays Island Plantation, and GAAP.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Business Planning:

Overseeing the collection, analysis, and interpretation of financial and operational data to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making and planning to include forecasting and budgeting.

KPI & Data Tracking:

Build reporting tools and dashboards to track cross-departmental performance and support data-driven decision-making.

Identifying Improvement Opportunities:

Analyzing existing processes, systems, and data to pinpoint areas where improvements can be made to increase efficiency, reduce costs, or enhance quality.

Developing and Implementing Solutions:

Leading teams in designing and implementing process improvements, often using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools.

Digitalization:

Leveraging technology to automate tasks, improve workflows, and enhance overall business processes.

Change Management:

Managing the human aspect of technology adoption through training, communication, and support.

Documentation & SOPs:

Create, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) that ensure consistency, compliance, and clarity.

Critical Competencies:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights Solid understanding of financial analysis techniques and critical thinking capabilities. Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI). Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Project management experience. Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking ability, and attention to detail. Effective communication (both written and verbal) and inter-personal skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years in an operation, business systems, or cross-functional coordination role.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and financial principles.
  • Analytical thinker with a process-improvement mindset.
  • Proficient in Excel, data tools, and general tech systems (Northstar a Plus).
  • Confident presenting findings and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Naturally curious, proactive, and resourceful.
  • Strong collaborator who can build consensus and drive accountability.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing ERP, CRM, or project management tools
  • Comfortable working hands-on in a small, fast-paced team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Club and/or hospitality industry experience.
  • Master degree.
