This role will help build greater continuous improvement capabilities across the organization and direct initiatives to support the company’s goals. You will own critical components to achieve and enhance a sustainable CI culture, including the oversight and advancement of the Lean Management System and the Lean Six Sigma (LSS) program. As a part of owning LSS, the role will work closely with our company leadership in further equipping and developing others in CI. How you will impact

Ingevity:

Support the strategy and growth of Ingevity’s Enterprise Excellence program. Lead and/or support implementation of various aspects of Lean including Hoshin Planning, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, 5S, Kaizen, and other Lean systems and tools. Partner with CI Champions and other leaders to develop and execute Lean Transformation plans. Provide training, monitoring, and coaching through oversight of the CI Lean Green Belt and Black Belt programs. Facilitate or sponsor CI efforts such as process studies, Kaizen events, and DMAIC projects along with tracking progress and ensuring sustained results. Lead improvement projects focused on key strategic goals. Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Lean systems and tools, the DMAIC process including statistical analysis, and other stable operations methods. Provide insight and support of CI related KPIs. Assist in CI Communications across multiple platforms.

What you need to succeed:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in support of manufacturing in a dedicated Continuous Improvement role. B.S. in Engineering. Other technical degrees will be considered with relevant professional experience in Continuous Improvement. Lean Six Sigma certification recommended. Advanced knowledge and application of Lean for business transformation. Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, and cross-functional team leadership. Possess strong project management and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Minitab. Global Travel requirement 25-50+%, dependent on home office location and strategic project needs. This role may be located at Ingevity’s headquarters or near any of Ingevity’s domestic site locations. This position is eligible for relocation assistance.
