SUMMARY General Purpose:

To follow the policies and procedures of SouthState Bank exercising competency, courtesy, and concern for the development of the customer. Works with all client servicing staff but primarily supports the Portfolio Management team of SouthState Advisory and its asset management function for Private Wealth. Performs servicing and account maintenance activities with a primary focus on the investment and portfolio management functions. Develop a strong working knowledge of our primary operating systems. Performs light administrative duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

It is the responsibility of the Wealth Analyst to take ownership of all tasks and challenges that they encounter in the operation of their assigned position.

Responsibilities may include:

Administrative/Operations Assists the portfolio management and operations teams with regulatory reporting and compliance. Assist in the preparation of firm marketing materials. Supports the investment operations process with: Facilitation of account investment related documentation including retention letters security trade entries security trade settlement asset/cash monitoring Assist in the preparation of material for various in-house reporting committees. Prepare account investment performance presentations as needed. This includes both internal and external client reporting, including the design and generation of reporting and will become the “subject matter expert” on client reporting software. Proactively seeks opportunities to create efficiencies and automation within the support of the portfolio management team and investment operations.

COMPETENCIES PC

Proficiency Demonstrated strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements Education :

College Degree or equivalent fiduciary or investment related experience.

Experience :

Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in the financial services industry, with Investment Operations experience preferred.

Certifications/Specific Knowledge :

PC proficiency, demonstrated strong communication skills, both oral and written. Strong math aptitude. Fiduciary experience preferred. Knowledge of investment terminology. Knowledge of investment and wealth specific operations.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

Required annual compliance training, New Employee Orientation, Other Fiduciary related courses or seminars.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time. Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position may be in a cubicle or private office environment. Telecommuting is also possible in this role and must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology are delivered. TRAVEL Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.
