Role:

Responsible for analyzing and improving operational processes in the System Operations department. Will collect and analyze data related to operational performance, prepare detailed reports, and identify trends while sharing best practices and recommending new methodologies. Works to query, analyze, and interpret data from KUB enterprise IT systems, including geographic data, operational/utility system data, customer data, meter data to identify trends or patterns in complex data sets. Focuses on improving data quality and extracting value from big data sets by identifying trends and patterns. Uses querying languages like SQL and Python, as well as other tools such as Excel and ESRI products to produce results in Power Bi dashboards, reports, etc. Responsible for coordinating with staff and other departments daily for coordination and collaboration on metrics and reporting. Will assist with emergency restoration events, as needed. In addition to the minimum requirements, this role requires the individual to be well-organized, have strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ability to work cooperatively and respond to inquiries on time, flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and the ability to learn and use new tools and techniques, and the ability to work independently as well as on a team.

Qualifications Physical Requirements:

Sedentary Work

  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or other related field from an accredited four year college or university One (1) to three (3) years of demonstrated experience in related field, such as Business Management, Program Management, and/or Administrative Support, and/or recognition as a subject matter expert Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills Ability to work independently on projects and complete them in a timely manner Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel Valid driver’s license Please note that due to our internal education requirements, this position will not support H-1B immigration status; we are unable to provide immigration sponsorship for and/or based on this position.

Preferred Requirements:

Five (5) years’ experience in related field Experience with data visualization tools (i.e., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) Ability to analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights Understanding of technology platforms including FME and SQL Experience with Peoplesoft applications such as FMS and CIS Selection Process About the
