DESCRIPTION

BENEFITS
Position Summary The On-site Coordinator, Talent Search is responsible for assisting the Talent Search staff with identifying and referring eligible project participants, conducting needs assessments, maintaining participant data, and scheduling cultural enrichment activities, workshops, and other events. Participates in professional development as required by the College.

SALARY SCHEDULE

 $23.61 per hour, not to exceed 19 hours per week. Part-time positions are posted based on the possible availability of a future assignment which are sporadic and may not occur. Available positions are contingent upon enrollment and instructional needs of the College. The position will be based initially at the Sparks Campus in Eufaula. More than one position in the same job classification may be filled from the applicants for this position should another vacancy occur during the search process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

Participant Data. Assists the Talent Search staff with identifying project participants at the middle school level. Assists with disseminating and compiling complete applications for prospective participants. Ensures student contact information is current. Contacts parents when needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

Cultural Enrichment. Assists the Talent Search staff with scheduling cultural enrichment activities and workshops at the middle school level. Disseminates and collects all cultural enrichment and field trip forms and ensures that they are complete.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Understands that failure to report for work and/or reporting late without prior approval are unacceptable practices and will result in disciplinary action.

Ensures that service to students and the general public is top priority.
Demonstrates a considerate, friendly, respectful and constructive attitude toward fellow employees and students.
Adheres to all College and System policies and procedures. Qualifications Master’s degree in counseling, education, psychology, or a related field is required. One year’s experience working with a low-income, first-generation clientele is required. The ability to work non­standard hours is required.
Available positions are contingent upon enrollment and the instructional needs of the College. Applicants must travel at their own expense for interviews that are conducted in person.
