Job Summary:
- The Area Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing the Operations Supervisor with updates on work progress of team, problem solving different product/freight issues, and handling any product/freight concerns to communicate to the Operations Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities:
- + Responsible for training associates in all departmental and company safety procedures + Trains associates on procedures to ensure each shipment is processed in an accurate, safe and timely manner + Consistently partner with Supervisor on any product flow or shipment issues + Effectively train team to meet distribution center individual and team performance + Responsible for recertification and/or retraining of associates + Instrumental in assisting with DC Projects (Donations, “hot” freight, etc) + Establishes and supports a team work culture throughout the DC + Upholds excellent customer service to our internal and external customers •
Education and Requirements:
- + Must have the ability to train and develop others + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Minimum of one year of related experience and/or training with demonstrated competency in developing associates and teams + Strong analytical skills + Basic PC skills are required and experience and knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
PKMS background preferred + Regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus
