Essential JobSummary:

IWS APEX

is seeking an experienced (Landfill) OperationsManager to lead and drive facets of the landfill operations as wellas, develop and execute strategies that support and maximizeperformance, including asset planning, long-term objectiveplanning, safety, productivity, environmental management, financialperformance, and employee retention. This role will report to andsupport the General Manager (Landfill).

Essential Job Functions:

Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able toperform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties maybe assigned.: Manage the day-to-day operations specific to his/herassigned areas of the Landfill and provide daily support toSupervisors in ensuring quality and budget performance Assists inthe design and implementation of the facilities operating plan,consistent with the accomplishment of long range establishedobjectives which will enhance effectiveness and delineateresponsibilities and authority Assist in the development offacility budget in a timely manner, forecasting financial andworkforce planning needs for future time periods Oversee personnelof operations including selecting, coaching, and training employeesand evaluating employee performance, as well as providing inputinto termination, compensation, and promotion decisions Organizesand schedules all necessary resources required to accomplishactivities Ensure thorough root cause investigations for allinjuries and incidents, following up with consistent discipline andretraining as needed while working congruently with Safety throughthe entirety of the process Engages suppliers in problem solvingand participates in supplier improvement processes Implement andmaintain programs to improve the safety, productivity, andprofitability of the facility and ensure compliance withOccupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and other Federal, Stateand Local regulations Prepare and maintain reports on wastemanagement activities, including statistical information andlandfill conditions Perform daily inspections of landfill site todetect and correct operational deficiencies Familiarity withlandfill gas and leachate collection systems to ensure properfunctioning Develop and maintain records for waste managementactivities in accordance with local, state, and federal regulationsMonitor landfill site conditions and inspect equipment to ensureproper functioning and safety Other duties as assigned

Requirementsand Qualifications:

: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent workexperience, with at least 7-10 years’ experience in the wasteindustry; and at least 5 years of experience managing teamsKnowledge of Logistics Knowledge of Managed Productivity FinancialAcumen Experience in making continuous process improvementsStrategic Planning skills MOLO training or SWANA certification aplus Working knowledge of OSHA regulations Strong analytical andorganizational skills with the ability to adapt to a fast-pacedwork environment

Salary Range Minimum:

USD$120,000.00/Yr.
