Position Summary:

Establish Care Options For Kids as theprovider of choice for clients, caregivers, and referral sources inyour Region by managing staff to provide excellent customerservice, coordinating client services, and forging strong clientand caregiver relationships.

Business Operations AreaDirector Education and Experience Job Qualifications:
  • PreferredBachelors degree in business, health care administration, orrelated field, or a minimum five year’s of relevant professionalexperience.
  • Intermediate competency with computers and othertechnology that are utilized to conduct job functions includingMicrosoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Ability to think independentlywith outcome
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create and implementmarketing plan and strategy with clear goals.
  • Monitor andevaluate effectiveness of marketing efforts through analysis ofactivity and referrals.
  • Adjust plan, as needed, to maximize ROIof marketing resources.
  • Conduct market research includingcompetitive and demographic analyses.
  • Identify new and existingtop accounts and forge strong business relationships.
  • Maintainhigh level of communication with office staff to stay aware of newand potential referral sources.
  • Present multiple service lines toaccounts as appropriate.
  • Maximize payer relationships in yourmarket by cultivating relationships with health plan Case Managersfor existing clients and new referrals through thoroughcommunication, follow up, and customer service.
  • Participate inand/or plan networking and/or community events to gain exposure incommunity.
  • Grow the assigned area in client census, servicehours, revenue and geographical territory.
  • Establishrelationships with local children’s hospitals and their casemanagement/ discharge planning departments to become a referralpartner for children being discharged that are in need of homehealth services.
  • Meet with potential clients and sell thebenefits of our services, our core values and how Care Options forKids is different in the care we provide.
  • Create and implement arecruiting plan for caregivers in conjunction with assignedRecruiter including leveraging local nursing schools/programs.
  • Ensure any authorizations for service are current and adhered to.
  • Monitor accounts receivable in conjunction with corporate billingdepartment to minimize write-offs.
  • Maintain a high level ofclient satisfaction by making goodwill calls, routine in-personhome visits, ensuring adequate number of caregivers, etc.
  • Maintain a high level of caregiver satisfaction by making goodwillcalls, routine in person visits, appropriately matching caregiverswithin their preferences, etc.
  • Manage office to budgetedperformance expectations
  • Participate in budgeting or annualplanning activities as requested.
  • Be available during officehours for survey and after hours for issues that arise.
  • Submitall requested reports, action plans, etc. timely to management asrequested.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as answeringphones, ordering supplies, etc. as needed.
  • Ensure adherence toand compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, accreditationstandards and policies and procedures of the organization.
  • Investigate and resolve all client and caregiver complaints timely
  • Oversee Plans of Action, Plans of Correction or QualityImprovement activities as needed.
  • Orient new hires to EMR systemand review employee handbook to outline expectations
  • Ensure thenew hire is successful placed with a client, and followed up withto confirm the match is well suited for both the client and nurse
Other Requirements:
  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Ability to organize and facilitate collaboration with internal andexternal stakeholders.
  • Must be able to solve complex problems andwork effectively under time pressure and/or deadlines.
  • Mustpossess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Abilityto read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability for light tomoderate physical exertion regularly, such as lifting, bending,pushing, pulling, stopping, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability tolift and carry up to 30 pounds, such as books, papers, files,medical office supplies often.
  • Ability to sit or stand for longperiods of time in the work area.
  • Ability to look at, and workon, a computer for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work on site,in a designated office, during business hours from 8:00am-4:30pmwith one unpaid 30-minute break.
  • Ability to transport oneself toand from multiple work sites several times a week.
  • Ability tomake and answer phone calls for long periods of time.

  • Report to work as assigned orscheduled timely. Follow procedures for notification of absence ortime-off requests.
  • Maintain professional/technical competency andproficiency of job responsibilities by attending and participatingin meetings, conferences and education programs as requested.
  • Perform all job responsibilities with a friendly, positive, andteam-oriented attitude.
