Job Summary:

The Director of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day management, strategic planning, and operational oversight of the mental health and substance abuse facility. This position ensures smooth functioning of clinical and administrative operations across all Florida locations, with a focus on regulatory compliance, quality improvement, operational efficiency, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of PHP and IOP programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation regulations. Collaborate with clinical leadership to align operational processes with clinical objectives. Manage staffing schedules, resource allocation, and performance benchmarks. Lead initiatives in operational efficiency, quality assurance, and process improvement. Monitor budgets and work closely with finance to manage expenditures and cost controls. Coordinate facility maintenance, logistics, and vendor relationships. Ensure proper licensure and accreditation standards are maintained (AHCA, DCF, Joint Commission, etc.). Act as a liaison between corporate leadership and clinical or administrative staff. Oversee health and safety standards, including risk management protocols. Support Human Resources in staff recruitment, training, and retention efforts. Participate in strategic planning and expansion discussions as needed.

Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations management, preferably in behavioral health or substance abuse treatment settings. Familiarity with Florida state regulatory bodies, AHCA, and DCF requirements is essential. Licensing/Certifications (Preferred, not required): Licensed Healthcare Risk Manager (LHRM), Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE), or similar credentials are a plus. CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
