The Director Operations
EPD LATAM
will be responsible for leading a lean and fast-moving Pharmaceutical Operation in LATAM, commercially focused, with a culture and way of working consistent with Abbott values and intrapreneurship mindset and its attributes of speed, agility and competitiveness. The performance of his/her organization is expected to be industry leading, delivering a strong and diverse pipeline of current and new products, manufactured and distributed with the highest compliance standards at a competitive cost, also supporting a continuous improvement engine to unlock further benefits.
CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance Quality Sustainability:
Maintain Sites with Quality systems under control.
EHS Compliance:
Maintain sites with expected safety and environmental systems under control. SRO TPM & procurement.
Reliable sourcing and savings:
Reinforcement of successful SRO•PPV program and suppliers service improvement. Maintain the business continuity plan for API’s, Excipients, Raw and packaging materials Finance Cash & Cost•M&P.
Leverage Operational excellence:
Maximize the output from our sites and eliminate all waste in our processes. Improve finance forecast plans reducing unexpected variations. NPI•Geo Expansion /
Operations Integration:
Ensure NPI launches right first time and enhance partnership with I&D to optimize capacity utilization. Network optimization &
Capital Investment:
Ensure on time decision and investment to anticipate customer needs and ensure business growth.
Capability Building & Organization:
Enhance leadership and technical skills with more emphasis in talent development, building a high-performance organization with intrapreneurial mindset.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Possess at least five years of Ops Director/ VP regional experience with a successfully track record in multinational pharmaceutical companies, operating in a highly competitive and complex market. Proven leadership experience managing high-performance technical teams within pharmaceutical industry Experience, know-how and influence on the strategy of relations with regulatory and governmental agencies Excellent influencing, communication and negotiation skills. Ability to challenge status quo where role has high influence based on technical/scientific know-how; oriented to dealing with high-impact challenges and results Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to perform as trusted advisor with key senior leadership positions Strategic planning with strong business and financial acumen Ability to identify weak spots and risks in a process to improve efficiency Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking Ability to manage complexity and work cross-functionality as well as autonomously Capable of operating effectively in LATAM and have demonstrated sensitivity to its culture. Previous multi-functional leader positions and will have set him/herself apart as a highly collaborative, inspiring professional who brings intelligence, passion and dynamism to everything she/he does. Results-oriented professional, able to identify and act on emerging business development possibilities, and to capitalize on any opportunities which are currently untapped.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
An undergraduate degree is required. An MBA preferred.

Bilingual in English and Spanish, Portuguese (preferred) The base pay for this position is $188,700.00•$377,300.00 In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
