This role requires a dynamic and experienced leader capable of integrating and optimizing the company’s global operational activities, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and objectives. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Executive Director will drive operational excellence, foster cross-departmental collaboration, and ensure that all aspects of the company’s operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Strategic Oversight:
Develop and implement strategic operational plans that align with the company’s vision and goals. Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to set long-term operational objectives and ensure cohesive execution across all departments.
Operational Management:
Oversee the management and performance of all operational departments, including marine salvage, emergency response, consulting, and environmental services. Ensure the consistent application of best practices, policies, and procedures across all departments to achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Departmental Coordination:
Foster strong communication and collaboration among various departments to facilitate seamless operations. Address and resolve inter-departmental issues and conflicts to maintain a unified operational approach.
Performance Optimization:
Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, safety, and client satisfaction.
Financial Oversight:
Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and adherence to financial targets. Oversee financial performance and resource allocation for global operations, ensuring profitability and operational sustainability.
Client and Stakeholder Relations:
Build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners to enhance business opportunities and ensure high levels of service delivery. Address client concerns and operational challenges promptly to uphold the company’s reputation for excellence.
Innovation and Technology:
Promote the adoption of innovative technologies and practices to advance operational capabilities and competitive advantage. Stay informed about industry trends and advancements, integrating relevant developments into the company’s operations.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, safeguarding the company’s assets and reputation. Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Minimum of 15 years of experience in marine operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple departments. Proven experience in managing global operations and leading cross-functional teams. Deep understanding of marine salvage, emergency response, consulting, and environmental services. Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic global environment.
