Job Summary:

The Director of Clinic Development and Operations will lead the end-to-end setup of new medical clinics, including planning, site development, operational design, staffing, regulatory compliance, and launch execution. This individual is responsible for turning strategic visions into fully functioning, patient-centered clinics ready for day-to-day operations and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinic Launch & Development:

Identify and evaluate potential clinic locations based on market needs, demographics, and regulatory considerations. Lead clinic buildouts, including space planning, equipment purchasing, vendor management, and IT infrastructure setup. Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines for clinic openings.

Operational Design:

Establish clinic operational frameworks, policies, workflows, and patient care protocols. Design patient intake, scheduling, billing, and medical record processes. Coordinate procurement and setup of medical equipment, supplies, and technology.

Licensing & Compliance:

Ensure all local, state, and federal licensing, credentialing, and compliance requirements are met pre-launch. Develop clinic policies aligned with HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and other applicable healthcare standards.

Team Building & Training:

Recruit, onboard, and train clinic managers, physicians, nurses, and administrative staff. Create orientation programs and operational handbooks. Establish a strong culture of patient care, service excellence, and regulatory compliance.

Financial Planning & Budgeting:

Create and manage budgets for clinic buildouts and early operations. Develop revenue cycle management systems and support payer contracting activities. Monitor early clinic performance metrics and adjust operations as needed.

Strategic Collaboration:

Collaborate with senior leadership on clinic business models, service lines, and marketing strategies. Maintain strong partnerships with vendors, real estate professionals, healthcare consultants, and regulatory bodies.

Post-Launch Transition:

Oversee initial clinic operations for a defined stabilization period (e.g., 3-6 months). Ensure a smooth handover to permanent operational leadership once the clinic is stable.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field (required). Master’s degree (MHA, MBA) preferred. 8+ years of healthcare operations experience, with at least 3+ years in clinic startup, healthcare project management, or healthcare consulting roles. Deep knowledge of medical clinic operational requirements, healthcare compliance, and regulatory processes. Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth healthcare environment.
