10% Description MES is looking for an Operations Manager to join our team! The Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operational duties by coordinating, planning and directing operations to ensure the timely completion of quality work in the most effective and efficient way possible. This position demonstrates outstanding direction and leadership, works as a liaison between all departments to ensure the smooth delivery of products and services, and works closely with upper management in the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and procedures, and strives to achieve the company’s financial goals
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible to manage the company’s daily operational needs and leads the department supervisors in the coordination of daily scheduling, production, distribution and timely completion of work. Responsible for ensuring the development, implementation and monitoring of all processes and procedures are executed in the most effective and efficient way possible. Responsible for the development of training programs for both internal and external resources. Review statistical and financial results through various resources to measure productivity and ensures operations are in line with all budgetary and revenue expectations. Determine areas requiring improvement and develop and implement solutions and strategies to ensure maximum efficiency is achieved. Work closely with upper management to aid in the development of new products and services. Communicate pertinent information regarding the status of the company to upper management and/or to all appropriate individuals within the company. Handle any physician and/or client issues or complaints requiring management’s involvement. Promote effective and efficient utilization of all company resources and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to management in order to meet all budgetary demands. Oversee the management of all office needs including, but not limited to, client service contacts, vendor contracts, maintenance needs, etc. Maintain and or delegate the completion of all required business unit recordkeeping, including, but not limited to, client contracts, vendor contracts, and employment records. Ensure all unit policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. As required, represent the business unit at all meetings to both internal and external audiences, including presentations via phone, webinar, and/or in-person. Ensure that all organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by upper management.
ESSENTIAL MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Carrying out all responsibilities in accordance with the company’s standards, policies, and all applicable employment laws. Managing and monitoring workflow and providing support, training, and techniques to assist staff in achieving department daily/weekly/monthly goals and standards. Encouraging positive morale, maintaining harmony among staff, and resolving grievances when necessary. Overseeing the completion and approval of employee timecards and coordinating overtime needs with management and staff as needed. Actively participating in the department’s staffing requirements including hiring, onboarding, and separating of employees. Creating and implementing plan to meet department’s goals and metrics based on workload and client needs. Communicating change effectively and supporting those affected by change. Managing insubordinate staff when warranted and initiating coaching or corrective actions as required and/or directed by upper management. Evaluating staff needs and performance, providing periodic feedback to staff and reporting any performance concerns and/or recommendations growth opportunities to management. Actively participating and successfully conducting annual performance evaluations. Qualifications Education and/or Experience Bachelor degree in business management or related field preferred. Minimum three years’ experience in management preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions where clarification is needed. Ability to follow instructions and adhere to upper managements’ directions accurately. Must be knowledgeable in multiple software programs, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet. Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Look for ways to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met. Ability to analyze problems involving multiple interrelated causes. Where necessary, gathers information and applies complex concepts or methods to generate an effective solution. Must be able to take independent actions and calculated risks when needed. Must use good judgment and includes the appropriate people in the decision-making process. Must be able to work independently, prioritize work activities and use time efficiently. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to demonstrate and promote a positive team -oriented environment. Must be able to stay focused and concentrate under normal or heavy distractions. Must be able to work well under pressure and or stressful conditions. Must possess the ability to manage and direct change, delays, or unexpected events appropriately.
