Director of Security Operations (Luxury Residential ) 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 90 Alton Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139 Director of Security must be able to manage the day to day security operations of a Luxury High Rise property. The DOS’s primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of all guests, residents, employees and property. The DOS must have the ability to implement all policies and procedures regarding the property’s security and safety standards to include the ability to design and implement preventive safety and security programs. Preferred Qualifications and Skills Supervises security personnel initiating personnel actions including recruitment, selections, transfers, promotions and discipline or dismissal, prepares work schedules, assigns or delegates responsibilities and evaluates performance Review and approve departmental schedules/payroll and make necessary adjustments Direct and supervise personnel to assure proper performance of duties and adherence to established rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Monitors all assignments and duties to ensure appropriate coverage of departmental operational functions and activities on assigned shifts. Investigate Public Safety personnel complaints as required. Investigate incident reports and organize corresponding data relating to. Coordinate with government and law enforcement agencies as necessary and support Conference and Banquet functions with personnel as needed. Plan, arrange and recommend security operations and systems layout.
Update and manage all Emergency Evacuation Plans and Critical Incident Response. Manage security-related training and communication with entire building partners, internal staff and associated external partners.
Qualifications:
At least 10 years on the force, Military or Retired from the Police department High school diploma or GED; 5 years’ experience in the security/loss prevention as a supervisor or in a management level position or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major; 3 years’ experience in the security/loss prevention as a supervisor or in a management level position. High level of accountability and integrity Full-time experience as a DOS, Security Account Manager and/or Supervisor for a residential property. Florida Security License or Certification Possession of a current motor vehicle operator’s license; Knowledge of FLorida Law “Security regulations. Reading, writing and oral proficiency in English & Spanish language Perform as member and lead different response teams like crisis management as well as disaster preparedness etc. Skilled in report writing and investigative techniques, and the ability to present a good oral representation and written product. Experienced in CPR, first aid, firefighting and crowd control. The capability to understand and operate computer based systems and technically challenging life safety equipment. Working knowledge of OSHA and Worker’s Compensation laws Capable of mentoring and developing a team
