The Fiduciary Financial Operations Supervisor oversees the financial operations team that performs a variety of senior-level fiduciary accounts payable and receivables services for collective trust accounting in the Public Fiduciary—Operations Division. This defined retirement benefit requires a 12.27% monthly contribution rate and includes a 100% employer match on Day 1 Learn more at Work With Us | Maricopa County, AZ We Require Four years of experience in Accounting, Auditing, Financial or Asset Management High School Diploma or GED A combination of post-secondary education in business administration, guardianships, conservatorships, decedent’s estates, property management, entitlements, social or mental health work, finance, accounting, investigations, bank trust work, or paralegal work with an emphasis on probate practices and procedures may substitute for the minimum qualification on a year-for-year basis We Also Value Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Gerontology, Social Services, Behavioral Science, Public or Criminal Justice, or a closely related field One year of supervisory experience Experience in Trust Fund Accounting, Auditing, Financial or Asset Management, preferably in a fiduciary office or banking operation Job Contributions Manages and oversees Public Fiduciary banking operations, including all financial reporting functions Develops, implements, and monitors internal control systems and quality assurance measures to ensure accountability for all departmental funds and assets Administers and resolves issues related to incomplete or missing payment requests to ensure compliance with asset documentation requirements Provides consultation and guidance to staff in complex situations to ensure adherence to statutes, court orders, ethical standards, and departmental policies and procedures Conducts periodic random audits to identify compliance issues, assess potential risks, and detect system weaknesses, followed by appropriate resolution and staff training Develops and maintains desk procedures and operational guidelines for staff involved in banking operations Monitors financial transactions and assignment completion by analyzing data and reports, identifying inconsistencies, and updating financial and accounting procedures accordingly Serves as the system administrator for multiple technology applications used within the department Cover tasks for employees when needed Working Conditions Work is performed in an indoor office environment serving an extremely fast-paced business Interruptions, time pressures, a high volume of work, handling multiple or complicated tasks, unscheduled and frequently changing tasks, accuracy, decision making, concentration, vigilance, teamwork, working in close proximity to others, and public contact may be constant occurrences May be required to lift up to 40 pounds floor to the waist and up to 30 pounds waist to the shoulder May be required to carry, push/pull up to 10 pounds a distance of 20 feet Selection Procedure Only the most qualified candidates will be considered Consideration will only be given to candidates who submit online applications Candidates will be contacted primarily through email and their Workday online application profile Must pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitive Maricopa County is an equal opportunity employer.
