Head of Venue Operations East Rooftop Cinema Club – 3.8 Miami Beach, FL Job Details Full-time $85,000 – $90,000 a year 4 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Flexible schedule Qualifications Google Suite Google Docs 8 years Senior level Leadership Full Job Description Summary of Role We are seeking a passionate Head of Venue Operations East to oversee the organization’s daily businesses in live film events and experiences, working with HQ, setting operational strategies and standards, and carrying this through to onsite execution, providing support and direction to venue leadership teams in order to maximize business results. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will oversee venue managers along with their local teams in executing our daily film events, finding ways to contribute to the big picture by ensuring daily operations run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Your ultimate purpose is to drive quality and consistency, through the innovation and improvement of our customer and staff experience, above all helping us create magical and memorable movie moments. The Head of Venue Operations East will regularly evaluate operational efficiencies, the development of our people, opportunities to enhance the guests’ experience, and deliver superior financial results. In addition to our operating businesses you will manage the roll-out of new venues in collaboration with your peers across multiple business functions and, as needed, manage the seamless closure of our limited run venues. The ideal candidate brings experience in managing the operations of multiple concurrent large scale events or multi-unit hospitality venues, demonstrating a passion for people and creating experiences that change people’s lives for the better.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Driving Guest Experience Providing support and planning for recurring, nightly events (onsite when needed) Providing routine onsite and remote support to teams Working with customer service, programming, and marketing departments to deliver event vision and brand goals on-site Working with F&B partners for menu development, planning, and delivery Coordinating with property management and staff around programming and events, screening cadence and general feedback to improve NPS score Regularly adapting the onsite experience to deliver variety, delighting and amazing experiences to our guests Driving Team Experience Leading venue teams in planning and preparing for venue opens and general operation Defining and implementing operational practices, procedures, and standards of quality Developing a hiring and training plan to set our onsite teams and the venues up for success Motivating staff to work together to excel as a team Managing staff incentive and recognition programs Monitoring and supporting the well-being and mental health of our onsite teams Systems, Analytics, Feedback Financial Planning and Budgeting, including ownership of site P&Ls Monitoring weekly financial results and identifying opportunities for improvements and risks Developing long-term operational strategies Managing point-of-sale systems, inventory systems, and financial reporting tools Developing and executing site audits as a tool to support organizational goals Partnering with our Customer Support Team to escalate feedback received via all channels, ensuring swift and meaningful resolutions are put in place to drive quality and improve our relationship with our customers Working with the tech/production department around venue repairs and maintenance (routine and ad hoc) Hours This is a full-time, non-exempt role that will require working in a schedule of hours that will adjust. Depending on the time of year, or to support seasonal venue openings, or ticket launches, the role will require weekend hours and/or evening hours. Required Skills and Experience 8+ years in an operational leadership position Experience in managing multiple Live Event sites Proven experience managing site P&Ls Is prepared to work flexible hours and on weekends, overseeing events in multiple time-zones Is able to strategize delegation, build and manage people and systems as we scale, but also be willing to roll up one’s sleeves to support the team Ability to work in a truly cross-functional manner Ability to think critically and execute tasks accurately Strong organizational and planning capabilities Exceptional follow-through and initiative Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.) Willingness to travel 30% of time Ideal Candidate Traits A passion for entertainment Customer experience driven A great sense of humor A good eye for the bigger picture Can show great leadership skills Can work well under pressure and uncertainty Likes to travel and adventure A good eye for detail
