Position Summary:
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the business, ensuring our technicians, CSRs, and support staff operate with excellence and accountability. You will lead the team, manage KPIs, streamline systems, and ensure exceptional customer experiences from the first call to the final invoice.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management Lead a team of technicians and office staff to meet performance goals Provide coaching, mentorship, and regular performance evaluations Foster a strong culture of professionalism, integrity, and teamwork Hire, onboard, and train field and office staff using company SOPs and scorecards Operational Oversight Manage day-to-day operations to ensure on-time job completion and customer satisfaction Coordinate scheduling, dispatch, and technician assignments Conduct weekly staff meetings and 1:1s to align goals and address issues Monitor job progress, pricing accuracy, and adherence to SOPs Customer Experience & Quality Control Ensure technicians follow company process: written estimates, option presentation, upsells, and customer communication Resolve escalated customer concerns quickly and professionally Monitor call recordings, service reports, and feedback to maintain high standards Follow through on warranties, rework, and client loyalty Financial & Strategic Management Track and report
KPIs:
revenue, close rate, average ticket, reviews, callbacks Work closely with ownership to hit monthly, quarterly, and annual goals Manage budgets, purchasing, truck inventory, and vendor relationships Implement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency
Requirements:
5+ years experience in residential plumbing, with field and leadership background 2+ years in a management or operations role , ideally in the trades Deep understanding of customer service, field management, and sales processes Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar CRM systems Strong organizational, communication, and people management skills Ability to build trust with team members, hold others accountable, and lead by example Georgia Plumbing License (a plus, but not required)
