In this position, you will be in charge of implementing the logistical aspects of our destination classes Exploring Digital Photography and South Florida and Exploring Digital Photography and Puerto Rico. Classroom Au Pair is based in New Jersey and provides accredited college courses in landmark destinations throughout the United States. ABOUT THE POSITION
The Site Coordinator is the person “on the ground” in their city and serves as a key leadership position under the supervision of the Program Director to help plan and execute the class schedule. This person must be comfortable leading student groups and coordinating with travel guides and directors to handle day-to-day class plans including transportation, accommodations, meals, excursions and activities. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. This person must be comfortable communicating by phone and video conferencing and will work independently a majority of the time.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for hotel check-in for students including providing hotel information, distributing keys, etc. Supervise logistics, transportation, and customer services for excursions and activities. Respond to any issues or complaints and handle changes needed due to weather or other immediate needs and concerns that arise. Lead student groups on daytrips, including walking tours, museum visits, and other activities relevant to the class. Track and monitor students for attendance and assignments. Handle all Google Classroom communications and grade pre and post class assignments.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or relevant field. Experience in event or educational course planning. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role leading groups or planning excursions, activities, workshops, etc. Great knowledge/interest in Miami Beach and Key West Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational abilities and interpersonal communication skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. International experience is a big plus, preferably living abroad experience and/or working with international students. Spanish-speaking is another big plus
Work Schedule:
This class will run 6-8 times per year with dates given in advance for planning purposes. Classes begin/end near Collins Park in Miami Beach. You must live near or be comfortable commuting to/from this location. Class days are scheduled as listed below and coordinators are expected to be available for the entire schedule. Day 1: 11AM
- 8PM Day 2: 9AM
- 6PM Day 3: 6AM
- 10PM Day 4: 9AM
- 4PM Additionally, coordinators will generally spend an additional 10-20 hours before/after class for grading assignments and student reporting.
(Depending on class size) These grading periods are remote.
Pay Rate:
This is an Independent Contract position paying a salary of $2,000 per class. Your first class would be a paid training at $20/HOUR.
