Position Summary
As a key member of the marketing leadership team the Sr. Director of Marketing Operations is responsible for leading and scaling the operational backbone of the marketing organization. This role oversees an integrated team responsible for digital strategy, communications, event operations, and creative execution, including a growing focus on the use of AI powered tools and workflows to enhance marketing performance. The Sr. Director will drive operational excellence by managing systems, workflows, people, and priorities that ensure marketing campaigns are delivered with precision, compliance, and impact. This individual will serve as the connective tissue between strategy and execution and will be charged with building a future ready team that not only meets today’s business needs but is also positioned to embrace tomorrow’s marketing technologies and innovations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Essential Duty Definition:
Organizational Leadership & Team Development Provide visionary and hands-on leadership across four core functional areas: Digital, Communications, Events & Meeting Planning, and Graphic Design/Creative Production. Hire, coach, and develop a high performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, innovation, and collaboration. Champion cross-functional alignment and workflow efficiency by creating and managing marketing working relationships across Sales, Product Marketing, Medical Affairs, Legal/Regulatory, Commercial Operations, and Professional Education. Create and execute operational frameworks to ensure repeatable, measurable, and scalable marketing impact. Leading a team of internal and external advertising professionals including Creative Design and Copywriting, Traffic, Printing, Videography, Photography, for online and offline deployment
Assisting VP of Marketing with budgeting and expense management
Digital Infrastructure, Analytics, & AI integration
Lead the development and deployment of the company’s digital marketing infrastructure, including website strategy, search optimization, digital analytics, campaign management, and lead generation systems. Evaluate, implement, and operationalize AI driven tools for content creation, performance optimization, and automations, ensuring responsible use and compliances. Develop dashboards and analytics frameworks in partnership with Commercial Operations to provide insight into campaign performance, channel attribution, and business ROI. Communication Strategy & Brand Governance Direct internal and external communications strategy to amplify the company’s voice, engage key stakeholders, and strengthen market leadership. Oversee corporate messaging, executive visibility, employee communications, and social media strategy. Maintain and evolve brand architecture, including visual identity, style guides, tone-of-voice standards, and message alignment across all audiences. Event Strategy & Execution Oversight
Lead the planning, execution, and measurement of national and regional events, tradeshows, medical society meetings, and internal experiences. Manage the Event Planning team to ensure high impact, compliant, and well-branded activated with commercial goals. Standardize event operations, develop post event ROI tools, and drive best in class experience across all tough points. Creative Operations & Graphic Design
Direct creative project intake, prioritization, and production workflows, ensuring on time delivery, brand alignment, and compliance with MRC (Medical, Regulatory, Compliance) processes. Manage in-house and agency creative resources, including graphic designers, video producers, and copywriters. Implement tools and AI technologies to accelerate content development and drive efficiency without compromising quality or brand integrity. Skills & Abilities
Degree/Diploma:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required.

Minimum Years of Experience:
10+ years of progressive marketing experience in regulated industries (MedTech, biotech, pharma, or healthcare preferred). 5-7 years leading multifunctional marketing operations or communications teams, including digital, creative, and event functions. Extensive experience managing the medical, regulatory, compliance (MRC) review process, including asset submission, routing systems, approval workflows, and compliance documentation. Proven experience evaluating, implementing, and managing marketing technologies, including digital analytics platforms and AI based tools. Demonstrated success in building and scaling marketing infrastructure and drive operational efficiency.
