Exempt Summary:

Participates in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with the responsibilities detailed in the Safety Management System Manual. Ensures Duty Managers, Dispatchers and other key System Operations Control personnel are trained, checked/evaluated, and qualified in accordance with National Airlines approved/accepted applicable manuals. Responsible, in conjunction with the Director, Flight Standards and Training, for the preparation, currency and maintenance of the System Operations Control Training Program.

Essential Functions:

Participates in the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS), as required. Shall complete Initial Level 2 SMS Training and maintain currency as outlined in the SMS Manual. Responsible for ensuring that Duty Managers, Aircraft Dispatchers, SOC Ground Coordinators, Planners and other designated SOC personnel have standardized procedures designated in National Airlines manuals. Responsible for ensuring that Duty Managers, Aircraft Dispatchers, SOC Ground Coordinators, Planners and other designated SOC personnel are trained, checked/evaluated and qualified in accordance with National Airlines manuals. Responsible, in conjunction with the Director of Flight Operations Training and Standards, for the preparation, implementation, currency, and maintenance of the System Operations Control Training Program in accordance with the SOC Manual and Flight Operations Training Manual Has authority over and delegates as required, training for Duty Managers, Aircraft Dispatchers, SOC Ground Coordinators and other key SOC personnel. Has authority over and delegates as required, the scheduling of divisional System Operations Control employees and ensures proper staffing and appropriate coverage. Yes Experience, Qualification & Skills:

Must have a working knowledge of all applicable regulatory requirements. Previous experience in performing duties and responsibilities within leadership positions as defined in System Operations Control functions. Prefer at least ten years working experience in an airline Operations Control/Flight Dispatch/Flight Following office or center. Must have at least 5 years previous supervisory experience An Aircraft Dispatcher’s License is required. College degree preferred, preferably in Airline Operations Must have worked in a Flight Dispatch/Following office as a Flight Follower or Dispatcher for at least 5 years. Understanding of schedules and fleet operations Computer literate Ability to respond quickly to changes. Able to work night and weekend shifts. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Travel Requirements:

Must be able to travel as required, both domestic and international.
