About Lakewood Regional Support Our regional support center provides resources to our hotels for multiple areas including Human Resources, Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations, Guest Contact Center, Information Technology, Laundry and Communications. Purpose This position is responsible for the daily operation of the Point-of-Sale systems to include the POS functions and features, POS Management Reports, Restaurant Reservations System, and F&B Cost Controls within the POS systems. Additional responsibilities training on POS Management Reports and Restaurant Reservations System. Additional responsibilities include providing support to end user/operators within Information Technology Department and the various Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando outlets/departments. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Provides 24 hour a day/ 7 day a week support through effective manager training Manages the tasks necessary to ensure the availability and security of the POS workstations, printers, scales, scanners, and pin pads. Ensures daily system maintenance tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner Oversees the performance of POS, Restaurant Reservation System, and hardware upkeep with all POS devices. Provide knowledgeable, courteous, helpful support for all technology staff and operations management of these systems. Utilizes ServiceNow to document changes, reviews, and verifies all operations for accuracy and completeness Maintains logs records for all scheduled database changes, that provide necessary audit trail for menu price changes and who requested these changes Maintains system security for POS, Reservations systems Works with the Network Manager to ensure the highest possible reliability and security of the POS Local Area Network Works closely with the Network Manager to coordinate preventive and emergency maintenance related activity for all POS related network systems Schedules, coordinates, and performs system upgrades to the POS system Assists in the selection of POS hardware and peripherals Maintains thorough documentation of the standard configuration of the POS workstations Works with the Inventory Control Manager to maintain an accurate, up to date inventory of all POS hardware Notifies affected end users of any scheduled/unscheduled downtime that will occur during the performance of scheduled/emergency maintenance operations Prepares reports for management relating to department and system operations Interviews, selects, trains, appraises, coaches, counsels, and disciplines personnel according to Loews Hotels standards Establishes and ensures adherence to all departmental and Loews Hotels guidelines, policies, and procedures Attends all required hotel meetings to keep abreast of in-house activities/promotions and events; maintain communications with other departments throughout the hotel Regular attendance in conformance with standards May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs Required to attend all training sessions and meetings Ability to perform “Physical Requirements” Required Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously Strong project management skills Self-starter, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective management, leadership, and communication skills Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays, and overnights
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
Experience:
