Position Start:
Late October/Early November 2025 in Palm Beach. Two trials will take place, one in Sun Valley, ID one week in the summer and when family moves into home in Palm Beach October•
Location:
Palm Beach, Florida (Mid-October to Mid-June) and Sun Valley, Idaho (July, September, Christmas Week and one week during the Spring)
Schedule:
Full-time with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Travel:
Family has seasonal residence in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Live-Out in Florida; Live-In when in Idaho Position Overview A warm, kind couple, looking for a seasoned Houseman with Cooking experience, to join their team of two Housekeepers. This highly sought-after role offers the chance to manage the operations of an elegant and refined home while providing personalized five-star service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in formal service, household management, and hospitality. High expectations to assist the existing team as needed. The primary focus though, will be finding a candidate that has a culinary background and/or passion for cooking. They should exude professionalism, discretion, and adaptability, paired with a proactive mindset and a passion for creating a seamless, welcoming environment with a service heart. This is a long-term role for a polished and service-oriented individual seeking to build a meaningful professional relationship with a kind and respectful family.
Key Responsibilities Cooking:
Prepare dinners in-home approximately 2 nights per week. Handle all aspects of meal prep: grocery shopping, cooking, table setup, serving, and cleanup . Stock the kitchen with fresh items and prepared meals for lunch . Comfortable with small dinner gatherings (4-6 people) which includes serving, cooking, and clean-up. Also, for larger gatherings (10-12 people) with serving staff added for support with serving and clean-up.
Household Management:
Maintain household inventory, ensuring supplies are always stocked. Organize the household, implementing systems to enhance efficiency. Conduct routine checks on lighting, electronics, and home systems. Perform preventive maintenance and handle light repairs as needed. Oversee and coordinate household vendors and contractors. Run errands, including grocery shopping and miscellaneous tasks.
Formal Service and Hospitality:
Provide formal and informal table service for meals and events. Assist Housekeepers with setting and maintain tables with precision and adherence to protocol, with guidance from the Principal. Maintain silverware, china, glassware, and linens to impeccable standards. Assist Principal with planning and assist with special events, dinner parties, and guest receptions. Serve wine, mix cocktails, and appetizers Maintain a well-stocked and organized bar. Greet and welcome guests with professionalism and warmth.
Maintenance and Vendor Coordination:
Schedule and oversee vehicle maintenance. Coordinate specialized repairs and services with external vendors.
Driving and Errands:
Chauffeur family and guests, including airport transfers as required. Handle errands with efficiency and discretion.
General Support:
Collaborate with other household staff, including the housekeeper to ensure a pristine environment. Exhibit a “whatever it takes” attitude to handle additional tasks and responsibilities.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in a Butler or similar formal service role in private households. Culinary Background whether formal or passion for cooking Proven track record of stability and glowing references.
Skills:
Knowledge of wine, food pairings, and event planning (preferred). Familiarity with smart home technologies (a plus). Strong organizational and time management skills. Proactive problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Unwavering discretion, integrity, and loyalty.
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Non-smoker. Willingness to adapt to the household’s evolving needs and work collaboratively with staff.
