AM Position Summary:

The Evening Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all property operations during evening hours, ensuring a seamless guest experience across multiple departments. This role requires a deep understanding of night audit procedures, exceptional multitasking abilities, and the flexibility to support various departments, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

Property Oversight:

Serve as the primary manager on duty from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM, ensuring smooth operations across the resort. Conduct regular property walkthroughs to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. Handle guest escalations and resolve issues promptly to uphold the resort’s reputation for exceptional service.

Departmental Support:

Assist the Front Desk team with guest check-ins, check-outs, and VIP arrivals, ensuring a warm and efficient welcome. Provide support to the Housekeeping team for urgent room turnovers, inspections, and quality checks. Jump into any department as needed, including F&B, Maintenance, and Security, to address immediate operational needs. Review daily revenue, reservations, and occupancy reports to identify opportunities for upselling and maximizing revenue.

Night Audit Oversight:

Supervise the Night Audit process, ensuring accurate end-of-day financial balancing, transaction verification, and report generation. Address discrepancies, resolve financial reporting issues, and ensure compliance with accounting best practices. Support the Night Audit team in meeting deadlines for daily closings and financial postings.

Crisis and Incident Management:

Act as the main point of contact for emergency situations, coordinating with local authorities and first responders when necessary. Prepare and document incident reports for management review.

Leadership and Team Development:

Lead and motivate the evening team, fostering a positive and professional work environment. Conduct briefings and shift handovers to ensure smooth communication between day and night shifts. Mentor and coach team members to improve performance and enhance guest service.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

2+ years of hotel management experience, with a focus on night audit, front office, or multi-departmental oversight. Strong understanding of financial processes, including balancing, revenue management, and auditing. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PMS (Property Management Systems), and accounting software. Exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. High level of professionalism and attention to detail. Willingness to work flexible evening hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with Hilton. Hospitality degree or related certification is a plus. Bilingual skills are an advantage.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
