Job Description
Wastequip has an exciting opportunity to join the team as Parts Operations Manager for our Florida Operations within our Wastebuilt Division. The Parts Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations for our Florida sites, inventory management, and performance of the parts department. This role ensures efficient sourcing, stocking, distribution, and sales of parts while leading a team to deliver excellent customer service and meet company profitability goals. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management:
Manages and leads inventory activities, including daily cycle counts and maintains accurate inventory levels for internal and external customers Works to reduce excess and obsolete or slow-moving inventory. Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer and service demands. Using databases and analytic tools (KPI’s), understands and measures daily Warehouse activities. In the event of a deviation from standard, works with division Management & Supervisors to establish root cause and corrective actions to maintain expected target deliverables
Staff Management:
Lead, train, and motivate a team of parts personnel. Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies
Process Improvement:
Streamline operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Utilize data and KPIs to improve workflow and performance. Track and report on department performance, sales, and profitability. Site & Building Management Ensures that the assigned sites are in compliance with corporate expectations OHSA and EHS standard are met and maintained General site management (e.g. outsourcing of landscaping, janitorial services, HVAC, etc.) Maintain compliance for business permits and other regulatory requirements Request and Manage any building maintenance or improvement, following the corporate guidelines
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred) 2+ years of experience in parts operations, inventory management, or related area 5+ years in a supervisory or management role Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Experience:
Industry-specific knowledge (e.g., automotive, industrial equipment, etc.) Familiarity with ERP or DMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, CDK, etc.) Lean or Six Sigma process improvement certification (a plus)
Working Conditions:
Office-based with regular time spent on the warehouse or service floor to ensure operational requirements are met May involve occasional lifting of parts or working in warehouse environments Travel to other sites within the assigned territory (approximately 25-30 %)
