About the role Reworld is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Operations Director to oversee the operations and performance of Thermomechanical Treatment Facility within a specified region. The Regional Operations Director will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and compliant processing of materials, the safety of our employees, and the achievement of production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

Provide leadership and strategic direction to multiple processing facilities within the south region, ensuring the highest level of operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Safety and Compliance:

Support safety protocols, compliance with environmental regulations, and adherence to all company policies and procedures. Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Production Management:

Monitor and optimize material processing operations to ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards and cost-effective processes.

Budget and Financial Management:

Monitor the financial performance of the facilities in the region, including budget development and cost control measures.

Performance Monitoring:

Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly evaluate facility performance, identifying areas for improvement and support corrective actions.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure a reliable flow of materials, parts, and services required for facility operations.

Environmental Responsibility:

Promote sustainability and environmentally responsible practices within the facilities.

Customer Relations:

Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.

Reporting:

Generate and present periodic reports on project development status to senior management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, business management) or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of leadership experience in waste management or energy-from waste industies, manufacturing, or related industries. Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and safety procedures. Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Financial acumen and experience in budget management. Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Willingness to travel within the region as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a related field. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and process improvement methodologies.
