Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find an Operations Manager in Macon, GA In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the daily production needs for Mr. Chip’s Inc. to ensure a safe quality product that meets customer specifications. In an Operations Manager job you’ll be responsible for: Overseeing that all aspects of the manufacturing function are within regulatory requirements and within the food safety and quality guidelines, as defined in company policy.
Controlling specification conversion, formulation and labeling in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Manager.
Ensuring that all products comply with customer specifications prior to release.
Enforcing all company GMP and employee safety procedures.
Acting as a member of the Crisis Management team, Food Safety/HACCP team and the Food Defense team.
As a member of the Food Safety/HACCP team, assuring that root causes analysis and correction actions, as defined by the HACCP team, are completed.
Providing jobs related to training for Operations employees.
Maintaining production records to assure product traceability and production costs.
Following a budget sufficient for the manufacture of a safe quality product. What you’ll need: Experience in food industry, with production supervisory background.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must have strong management skills and the ability to work in cross functional situations.
Ability to travel on a limited basis.
