We are seeking a full-time Operations Manager to support a FedEx Ground contractor with operations across multiple terminals in Savannah, GA and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for a motivated, adaptable individual with strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a hands-on approach to operational problem-solving. You’ll lead drivers, support terminal managers, and serve as a key liaison between terminal teams and ownership. •This is not a typical Monday-Friday, 9-5 position. It will require flexibility, long-hour days during peak season (Nov-Dec), and occasional weekend work. That said, we also offer schedule flexibility when operations allow. •

Schedule & Benefits:

$67,600-$78,000 annually, depending on experience + Annual bonus potential for strong performance. Role Expectations:

Serve as operations support across multiple terminals; Savannah GA, Durham NC, and Newport News VA and assist with route coverage, staffing, safety, and driver management Communicate regularly with terminal managers , helping address operational concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner Recruit, onboard, and coach new drivers in collaboration with terminal teams Ensure daily P&D routes are staffed, trucks are functional, and delivery metrics are met Monitor and maintain delivery route efficiency through DRO (Dynamic Route Optimization) tools Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs to prevent breakdowns (mechanical knowledge a plus!) Promote and enforce driver safety and compliance with FedEx Ground standards Assist with daily driver accountability (service audits, paperwork, Hours of Service, Pre/Post trip inspections) Step in to drive routes as needed

Manager Requirements:

Must be 21+ years of age (for insurance purposes) Valid driver’s license required; must be able to safely operate a P1000+ step van Must pass background check, DOT physical, and drug screening (all paid for by FedEx) Proficiency in basic computer skills and working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PPT. Prior FedEx experience strongly preferred; UPS, Amazon, or similar logistics experience a plus Military veterans encouraged to apply! Must be comfortable with physical activity, stepping in to run routes, and working in a fast-paced logistics environment Proficiency with DRO or other routing software a plus
