Evening Operations Lead 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars Marietta, GA 30066 Wirks Moving & Storage is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Evening Operations Lead to oversee end-of-day operations and help ensure our crews, equipment, and warehouse are ready for the next day’s challenges. This is a hands-on role where leadership, organization, and communication are key. Responsibilities Oversee the end-of-day check-in process for trucks and crews Conduct truck inspections for damage, cleanliness, and proper materials/equipment return Ensure completion of post-trip inspections (DVIRs) in accordance with DOT compliance Debrief crew leads on job performance, customer experience, and any issues encountered Support dispatch with customer service, schedule updates, and after-hours calls Coordinate with AM Supervisor for successful shift handoff Operate forklift to assist with warehouse and equipment staging (if certified) Maintain accurate documentation of truck closeout checklists Ensure materials are staged for the following day’s operations Identify equipment shortages or issues and escalate appropriately Support virtual dispatcher and crew operations as needed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdy, Friday and Saturday Other duties as assigned Requirements Proven experience in operations management or a similar role, preferably in the moving or logistics industry. Strong skills in employee training development and orientation processes. Basic math skills for inventory management and financial reporting. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. Experience in retail or sales environments is a plus but not required.
