Electrical Project Operations Leader Cooper’s Heating & Air 403 Whigham Dairy Rd, Bainbridge, GA 39817 ​ Looking for a great opportunity with a reputable company, a career you can be proud of? We’re looking for you too! Cooper’s Plumbing and Air is hiring a Electrical Service Manager who will lead the launch and operational build-out of a brand-new electrical service department. This role blends hands-on field supervision, strategic planning, and team leadership to establish the foundation of a high-performing service division. You’ll be instrumental in developing processes, recruiting and mentoring field staff, ensuring compliance, and driving operational success. This is a pivotal leadership position for someone who is ready to take ownership, shape a department from the ground up, and build a team that reflects the company’s commitment to quality, safety, and customer service.

What You’ll Do:

Partner with leadership to define service offerings, pricing structures, and technician roles. Recruit, train, and lead the initial team of electricians and apprentices. Set performance expectations, build a strong team culture, and provide ongoing mentorship. Oversee daily field operations, ensuring adherence to safety, code, and quality standards. Design and implement workflows, systems, and SOPs for all field and service operations. Assist in selecting and deploying scheduling, dispatching, and field management tools. Develop job costing, performance metrics, and reporting standards.- Set performance expectations, build a strong team culture, and provide ongoing mentorship. Oversee daily field operations, ensuring adherence to safety, code, and quality standards. Build customer relationships through professionalism and consistent, high-quality service. Follow up on service invoices, unsold estimates, and proposals to close business and drive revenue. Provide job site leadership—resolving escalations, verifying workmanship, and coordinating resources. Work closely with the sales team to review scopes, improve close rates, and ensure profitable execution. Identify upsell or expansion opportunities on service calls and provide recommendations. Assist with pipeline visibility and departmental forecasting. Success Factors in the Role You will succeed by: Establishing a professional, scalable electrical service operation from day one. Being a visionary leader who builds trust across departments while getting results in the field. What Makes You Great! Experience launching or significantly shaping service teams or departments. Able to thrive in a “start-up within a company” environment—self-directed, hands-on, and adaptable. Deep knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and local code requirements. Comfortable reviewing blueprints, proposals, and regulatory documents. Able to analyze job profitability, control labor/material costs, and optimize scheduling efficiency. Familiar with KPIs, margin management, and scalable processes. Strong written and verbal skills for team communication, customer relations, and interdepartmental coordination. Confident presenting plans, reporting performance, and engaging in cross-functional meetings. Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-specific service management platforms. Able to evaluate and help implement technology that improves field visibility and accountability. The candidate would likely have the skills below, however, not all are required.
