Sr. Operations Manager 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Rome, GA The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations at our facility. The Operations Manager ensures that manufacturing objectives are achieved in a timely, cost-effective manner while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Reports to the Plant Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

Strategic Oversight:

Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with company goals. Oversee the planning and execution of production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.

Operational Management:

Direct and manage overall production operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to achieve manufacturing objectives.

Financial Management:

Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, including capital expenditures, labor overtime, and operating expenses with monthly metrics.

Quality and Performance:

Establish and maintain quality control standards to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations. Ensure quality control at the point of production e.g. “in-line quality” Partner with Quality Assurance to implement and oversee quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives. Implement and ensure adherence to SCORE procedures (Safety, Cleanliness, Organization, Responsiveness, Efficiency). •

Leadership and Development:

Improve departmental morale through enhanced communication, follow-up, and a results- oriented team approach. Provide leadership and training to achieve company goals and objectives. Participate in corrective actions, counseling, and employment-related decisions.

Continuous Improvement:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality. Shut down production lines due to quality issues and address shipping issues concerning quality defects.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. Promote a safe working environment and oversee safety programs and initiatives.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate with other departments, such as New Model Group, Logistics, Engineering to ensure seamless operations and product delivery. Act as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proficiency with computers and manufacturing software. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:
