Director of Operations Greenwood Organization Atlanta, GA 30338 Job description The Director of Operations is responsible for directing actions across an organization to guide and support their supervisors in maintaining profitable restaurants that meet the organization’s and McDonald’s standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are high, so this is a big job! The Director of Operations should know and understand the trends of the market, as well as, the individual restaurants. A Director of Operations will be expected to build reports that communicate their market’s KPI trends and be able to present them regularly to the organization’s leadership. A Director of Operations is expected to communicate pertinent data and set targets for their supervisors. A Director of Operations should be able to provide their supervisors with actionable items, routines and action plans to achieve their goals. To meet organization goals, the Director of Operations doesn’t work alone. He or she leads a team of Supervisors that have specific responsibilities in the organization. This means helping the Supervisor’s set their own goals, following up on their progress, and providing coaching and direction to improve their restaurants. Ideal candidates should have previous McDonald’s and/or Restaurant Leadership experience running high volume locations. The candidate is a highly analytical leader who will join our senior management team. You will be responsible for leading the company’s day-to-day business operations (managing the company budget, ensuring operational compliance is followed, and addressing administrative issues). You must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our franchisee owed restaurants. Responsibilities Measure the effectiveness of all processes (budget, operations, and management, etc.) Determine company’s strategic growth as part of the executive team Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and projects Providing review and oversight of intake and demand Provide director level leadership to project portfolio and project alignment. Prioritize initiatives to align with key objectives. Lead road mapping exercises with teams to inform prioritization. Manage, establish, and provide input into timelines, work, and goals. Create processes to generate ideas and then prioritize. Lead efforts to establish protocols. Create a culture of continuous improvement and establish expectations. Implement processes to operationalize market research activities and trend analysis. Resolve prioritization for driven benchmarking efforts and target arenas. Conduct and analyses consumer behavior and settle how to use takeaways to improve products. Conduct team performance management actions, reviews, and evaluation. Implement employee lifecycle actions in support of the Director of Human Resources. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business management or related discipline 5 -10 years of relevant experience Strong interpersonal and communication skills Experience in product management Experience at Director level or equivalent with a variety of organizational practices, including strategic management, financial management, operations excellence, and organizational practices. Knowledge and ability to be responsible for recommendations and improvements of standard methodologies. Able to navigate complexity, various collaborator needs, while delivering tangible outcomes. Ability to work across diverse teams to enable change and establish operational cadences. Solid understanding of business practices, organizational practices, and governance processes. Experience as director or equivalent role in establishing team culture and organizational culture. Comfortable working across local and international teams, on-site, hybrid, and virtual environments. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365 / O365, including Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, OneNote), and capable of supervising team members using these applications. Comfortable working with senior organizational leaders, technology leaders, human resource leaders, operational experts, communications teams, strategy & planning, and finance teams. Capable of being structured and methodical, while also flexible and adaptable to changing organization needs, technology innovation, and organizational transformation. Able to specifically partner with peer director leaders in Global Technology, Training, Financial Planning and Analysis, Human Resources Management, and Operational Excellence.
