Job Description The Lead Ingest Operator is responsible for the daily task oversight of the daily CBS Ingest area Monitors the ingest team performing their duties including: ingest and QC of broadcast material, operating routers, waveform monitors, and encoding equipment Ensures all assignments are being completed by the Ingest staff. Assists with maintenance of operations-based server functions. Works to the supervisors and Ingest Manager in resolving outstanding issues. Ensures that specified, technical network procedures are being satisfied. Performs all duties of the ingest function including trimming programming and entering timing information into Server Database. Provide relief for Ingest Operators when necessary. Other duties as may be assigned from time to time. Requirements Technical proficiency and operational knowledge of iTX, File Transfer Protocol and File delivery monitoring systems. Good knowledge of all media formats and platforms including Telestream automation systems, i.e., Vantage and Flip Factory Able to work weekends, nights and holidays. A.A. or B.A. degree in a broadcast related field; minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of broadcast operations experience preferred. Strong communication skills, both oral and written The nature of this position requires the employee to work in an administrative office environment. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds and be physically mobile, i.e. able to bend, lift, climb stairs, and transport items.
