Purpose of the Role The Director of Operations will be a visionary leader responsible for driving operational excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction across a key logistics facility. This role will optimize warehouse performance, implement best-in-class practices, and lead a high-performing team — all while ensuring full compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, service quality, and team productivity. Champion a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability. Lead a 3-shift, 5-day-per-week warehouse operation to meet evolving business needs.
Oversee all warehouse functions:
receiving, stocking, picking, consolidation, shipping, and inventory. Integrate technology, including robotics, to improve inventory accuracy and process reliability. Ensure timely and accurate outbound shipments to meet manufacturing plant specifications. Lead consolidation and coordination of returnable packaging programs to enhance sustainability. Maintain compliance with C-TPAT, Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), and U.S. Customs regulations. Drive cross-functional collaboration with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and manufacturing plants. Manage workforce planning, resource allocation, and team development. Represent and uphold the Bluegrass Supply Chain core values in all operations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field required. MBA preferred. 10+ years of logistics/warehouse management experience; minimum 5 years in senior leadership. Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and leading innovation in logistics. Strong knowledge of C-TPAT, FTZ, and U.S. Customs compliance. Experience with warehouse automation and advanced inventory management systems. Proven leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Why Join Us?
