About Us:
Dedicated is a fast-growing, service-driven logistics and transportation company committed to safety, compliance, and operational excellence. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Director to lead our safety program, ensuring DOT compliance, minimizing risk, and fostering a culture of safety across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage the company’s safety and compliance programs in alignment with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory standards. Monitor driver qualification files, HOS logs, DVIRs, and drug/alcohol testing programs. Lead accident/incident investigations and maintain detailed reports with corrective action plans. Conduct ongoing training sessions for drivers and staff on safety protocols, best practices, and regulatory changes. Oversee the use of safety technologies (ELDs, dash cams, etc.) and analyze data to improve performance. Manage audits (internal and external) and serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries. Collaborate with dispatch, operations, and HR to resolve compliance issues and promote accountability. Maintain safety scorecards and contribute to insurance/risk assessments.
Qualifications:
5+ years of safety leadership experience in a trucking or freight transportation environment. In-depth knowledge of
FMCSA, DOT
regulations, and CSA scores. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Experience with Samsara systems, telematics, and safety training software. Ability to lead investigations and develop actionable safety plans. CDL preferred but not required.
