The Opportunity:

The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the school. This role supports the School Operations Officer (SOO), Principal, and leadership team by managing the key responsibilities to those, but not limited, to the below.

Key Responsibilities:

Acquisition & Retention Support the student acquisition team and their efforts, including campus tours and acquisition events. Support the student retention team by helping execute family engagement events, maintaining consistent and positive parent communication, and supporting initiatives that foster a strong school community and culture. Develop content, with the acquisition team, and post for campus social media accounts. Operations Support Serve as the primary operations point of contact on campus when the SOO is off-site or unavailable. Support SOO with daily school operations and logistics to ensure an optimal learning environment. Partner with the Academic Team, SPED Team, and SOO to coordinate timely distribution of student progress reports and report cards. Assist with the scheduling of substitute teachers in partnership with the Academic Team. Support and direct safety protocols, including the implementation and communication of emergency preparedness plans and crisis management team. Compliance & Reporting In collaboration with the Compliance & Data Manager, serve as the campus point of contact for state reporting to the Department of Education (including, but not limited to: enrollment counts, IEP counts on October 1 and February 1, PEP report, low-income report). Assist with audit, reporting requirements, legal requirements, operational policies. Ensure timely preparation and availability of materials for LEAP and other school-wide assessments. Technology Coordination Provide basic IT support and act as a liaison between school staff and external service providers. Manage inventory, distribution, and maintenance of technology assets such as student devices, teacher laptops, and projectors. Support the Academic Team and SPED Team to ensure accurate student information system (SIS) data in PowerSchool. Execute and manage software and web-based platforms essential to school operations, including online testing systems (LEAP, AimsWeb, NWEA) and student accessibility platforms. System administrator for Google and Microsoft platforms, including email administration. Develop and lead a team of students that assists with basic IT issues on campus.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education Management, or a related field Technology specializations and/or certifications (preferred) Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations, logistics, or administrative management, preferably in a school or non-profit setting (preferred) Provide high-quality customer service interactions with staff, parents, students, and visitors. Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and school management softwares/systems Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment This position is onsite during school hours, with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities for events or emergencies. May involve moderate physical activity including walking throughout the campus and lifting light materials.
