Job Summary:

We are seeking a confident and capable leader to oversee our evening shift team of 4 to 6 Specimen Processors. This leadership position works closely with the department supervisor to drive team performance, maintain accountability, and ensure efficient operations throughout the shift. The Team Lead is responsible for coordinating workflow, monitoring task completion, and providing daily direction to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and consistent adherence to established processes and procedures.

Pay and Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of specimen processors to achieve performance goals. Ensure samples are appropriately received, labeled, and delivered to the laboratory for analysis. Report any performance, compliance, or staffing-related issues to supervisors. Identify and resolve operational problems promptly to maintain seamless laboratory operations. Provide training and support to staff, fostering professional growth and skill enhancement. Assist in scheduling and coordinating work assignments to meet requirements. Respond to inquiries from clients, staff, and patients via phone and email. Demonstrate exceptional customer service to patients and clients. Provide suggestions and recommendations to enhance workflow. Assist management by offering input for performance reviews and disciplinary actions. Act as a liaison between departments to streamline collaboration and operational efficiency. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Ability to drive frequent interaction, providing feedback, coaching, and guidance. Strong interpersonal skills that foster a positive work environment. Ability to diffuse tense situations and apply good judgment. Comfortable working effectively in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
