This individual will play a critical role in ensuring all cleaning standards, safety protocols, and client expectations are consistently met or exceeded. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and prior experience in commercial cleaning—preferably in healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of assigned buildings to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with medical facility protocols and industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA). Supervise and support janitorial staff, including training and performance management. Ensure adequate supply levels are maintained at each site; place orders and manage inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking. Address and resolve any employee or client concerns in a timely and professional manner. Perform hands-on cleaning tasks as needed to support the team or fill in during staff shortages. Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, issues, corrective actions, and supply usage. Ensure all employees follow proper safety protocols and use equipment/PPE correctly. Coordinate with HR and leadership to assist with hiring needs and disciplinary action when necessary.
Requirements:
Prior experience in janitorial/cleaning services; experience in medical or clinical environments is strongly preferred Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory or management experience Strong knowledge of cleaning protocols, disinfecting procedures, and safety standards in healthcare settings Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work evenings and respond to after-hours situations when needed Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs during inspections or cleaning tasks Comfortable working in various environments, including hospitals, clinics, and medical offices
