The Role:

The Marketing and Operations Director (MOD) leads the climbing gym operations in partnership with the CEO and is directly responsible for overseeing customer-facing operations, customer outreach and engagement, and the overall customer experience. The MOD is responsible for staff scheduling and training, front desk operations and coverage, marketing and outreach efforts, member communication and engagement, retail strategy, and supporting the CEO in other gym leadership efforts. Goals Grow NOBL’s community and member base Increase member retention Encourage interaction with NOBL’s marketing campaigns and social accounts Expand our audience Convert digital engagement to business patronage Increase retail sales Develop strong sales culture amongst part time staff Primary Responsibilities Part-Time Staff Management and Human Resources Hiring, onboarding/offboarding, training, professional development, and general staff management Implement gym strategy: sales, promotions, customer interactions Direct oversight of Front Desk Manager (FDM), Youth Programs Manager (YPM), and Head Setter (HS) Supporting CEO with technical HR responsibilities (paperwork, meeting presence) Customer Engagement and Communication Email marketing, updates, and promotions Head member/customer feedback and retention Lead partnerships in relation to member engagement and programming Marketing and Outreach Lead marketing strategy and targeted campaigns Manage social media presence on various platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and more Maintain NOBL website Create and post out-of-gym signage Build and maintain programmatic materials/guidelines for ClimbFit, Community Meet-Ups, Boulder League, & Climber’s Fest Sales Strategy Customer journey (new guest > day pass > member) Retail strategy, ordering & inventory management Promotions & program signups Operations & Facilities Equipment maintenance, re-ordering supplies, facility upkeep (supports CEO) Leadership Team Shift coverage when needed, and offsite call when required Sales & membership data, financial reports (supports CEO) Overall organization/care of facility and department Uphold all agreed upon
