Job Description:

Responsible for leading and maintaining a high level of safety for all employees, including but not limited to implementation of safety programs and administration of various model programs aligned with overall company safety objectives.
Effectively lead the production departments at the New Orleans Plant, including Durock, Quality and Supply Chain. Total of approximately 44 employees.
Responsible for ensuring production departments are operating within USG Bulletins as well as requirements of UL and other governing agencies.
Oversee the training of assigned staff to ensure timely development, including department engagement and succession planning.
Embraces a culture of continuous improvement through metric alignment, reflection meetings, Gemba walks and various additional CI activities.
Work closely with engineering manager to develop and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency, quality, and cost improvements over the short and long term.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
Previous experience as an engineering/supply chain/production manager preferred
Strong leadership, communication (verbal and written), decision making and employee relations skills within a diverse workforce environment.
Knowledgeable with safety compliance programs with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and housekeeping.
Motivator with a high level of organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
Must have demonstrated abilities to operate within a planned budget and manage cost within established goals.
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
