Position Summary
Reports to the Director of Operations. The Champions Center Building Manager wil manage, supervise and coordinate housekeeping of the basketball practice facility of Mullins Center; oversee building operations; and maintain quality of basketball equipment. Helps manage and assist in arena changeovers and basketball related arena needs.
This role pays an annual salary of $50,000.

Responsibilities
Assume management responsibility for all services and activities involved in the operations of the basketball practice facility
Train, motivate and evaluate custodians; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures
Assist in the planning, directing, coordinating and reviewing the work plans for the practice facility operations
Order building supplies and materials for maintenance programs within budget guidelines; receive and inventory supplies
Perform low-level building maintenance such as painting and other minor repairs
Coordinate high-level building maintenance with campus facilities and outside vendors
Coordinate the setup of public hospitality events held in the Champions Center
Working knowledge of operations/custodial equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, basketball floors, ride on floor scrubbers, vacuums, etc.
Perform day-to-day custodial needs as assigned
Coordinate housekeeping needs with custodian
Maintain departmental equipment including basketball hoops, rims/nets, and courts
Assist in arena conversations
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Degree preferred; equivalent experience will be acknowledged
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in building maintenance including at least one year of building work in an Arena, Convention Center or Public Assembly Facility including set-up/housekeeping
Must have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment and possess superior interpersonal and communication skills
Must have the ability to work long hours, nights, weekends and holidays
Must be self-motivated and have excellent organizational skills
