This Manager III role is critical to the development and execution of Stop and Shop’s strategic initiatives. The position requires a highly strategic and collaborative leader who can effectively partner with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders. The Manager III will be responsible for driving key strategic projects, facilitating strategic planning processes, and providing insights and recommendations to inform executive decision-making. This role demands strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

What we ask of you:

Lead by influencing strategic direction for Brand by building & guiding a high-performing team and cross-functional leaders which include developing and refining the processes for banner strategic business planning, new store prototype development, competitive intelligence including response planning as well as other critical priorities to ensure Brand’s success. Develop and assess company goals and objectives to determine appropriate strategy and initiatives and relative priority. Develop and present business cases and cross-functional enrollment for the financial resources required to successfully support and implement initiatives. Develop, implement and continuously pursue innovative concepts and strategies that bring added depth and breadth to corporate business strategies in collaboration with store operations. Provide strategic focus and effort to target growth opportunities including acquisitions and strategy roll out markets. Influence banner and Brand leadership team concerning strategic opportunities. Lead strategic cadence meetings with senior leadership Lead the development and execution of key strategic projects, from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives. Facilitate the annual strategic planning process, including market analysis, competitive assessment, and the development of long-term strategic plans. Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategic priorities, identify growth opportunities, and develop actionable plans. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership, based on data analysis, market trends, and best practices. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company’s business, industry, and complex competitive landscape. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to both Stop & Shop and the broader ADUSA organization. Effectively communicate strategic initiatives and recommendations to various audiences, including senior leadership, and other stakeholders. This includes creating and presenting compelling presentations and reports. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, empowering team members to achieve their full potential. Lead cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects forward, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members. Facilitate dialogue and resolve conflicts between business stakeholders. Oversee and own the execution of strategic projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Develop, own, and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets. Identify, timely flag, and mitigate project risks and issues. Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior leadership. Ensure adherence to project governance and best practices. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching to the team. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Leverage your strong financial acumen to develop financial models support strategic initiatives. Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to senior leadership. Understand the financial implications of strategic decisions. Develop, implement and effectively communicate change management strategies to support the successful adoption of strategic initiatives.
