Position Summary:

Responsible for overseeing all aspects ofinstallation operations, including team leadership, financialperformance, and operational excellence. This role requires adynamic leader who can manage complex projects while drivingprofitability and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of 25 technicians,coordinators, supervisors, and support staff
  • Own P&Lresponsibility for install operations
  • Monitor budgets and KPIs,ensure adherence to financial targets
  • Oversee the productionschedule
  • monitor upcoming work to be performed in order toschedule and assign technicians and/or crews to maximizeproductivity and to meet the needs of the customer
  • Manage andCreate job folders to be sure warehouse supervisor and techniciansare prepared for upcoming installs
  • Process Job folders afterinstall completion
  • Line item all PO’s, enter all equipment serialnumbers into Service Titan, ensure accurate Job Pay Worksheets andWarehouse pull sheets, verify completion of all on-site paperworkand customer signatures
  • Collect, correct and submit timesheets;Timestamp all tickets in Service Titan
  • Verify all jobs have hadpermits pulled and file all permits accordingly
  • Work with 3rdparty vendors and coordinate with customers to ensure any damagesincurred during install are handled to the customers satisfaction
  • Track technician performance
  • Monitor for areas of improvement andreward technicians for going above and beyond
  • Be available byphone during evening and weekends to ensure all install operationsare running smoothly
  • Monitor equipment and parts purchasingwithin department to ensure accuracy of department budgets
  • Participate in new hire interviews to ensure proper staffing
  • Conducts regular meetings with technicians and helpers on suchmatters as reviewing past performance and areas of concern;conducting training on lead generation; customer service, andcompany products and services; reinforcing safety rules andpractices, and current and future goals and objectives
  • Conductsquality-control review of assessments of completed work performedto ensure work is performed in accordance with company practicesand processes, expected workmanship, and efficiency andeffectiveness
  • Trains employees on company processes andprocedures, and safety rules and practices
  • Responsible fordelivery of excellent customer service and sustaining high levelsof customer satisfaction
  • Ensures company property, vehicles, andtools are being used, maintained and properly accounted for
  • Represent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically inall business matters and activities
  • Ensures that the companyvehicles are properly stocked, that defective warranty parts arereturned to the Branch and that vehicle standard stock isordered/replenished as needed. As needed, completes materialrequisition forms and other related administrative activities
  • Demonstrates leadership to the field staff in the areas of customerfocus and customer service, following company policies, procedures,and safety guidelines
  • Conducts regular meetings with installersand helpers on such matters as reviewing past performance and areasof concern; conducting training on lead generation; customerservice, and company products and services; reinforcing safetyrules and practices, and current and future goals and objectives.
  • Serves as a resource to the sales staff on technical issuesregarding products and services.
  • As needed to meet customerneeds, performs service, maintenance, and installation work.
  • Performs similar/other duties as needed or assigned.
Desired Skillsand Qualifications:
  • Management/Leadership experience required
  • High school diploma or GED with additional training in HVAC withNATE certification preferred.
  • Five years’ experience servicing orinstalling residential heating, air conditioning, and ventilationequipment.
  • Must possess all valid licensing or certification asrequired by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental lawsor regulations for the geographical work area.
  • Demonstrated basicleadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to train others intechnical skills and effective customer service.
  • Effectivecommunication skills to communicate with customer and resolvecustomer issues, complaints, or concerns.
  • Effective and efficienttime-management and organizational skills.
  • Advanced skills inservicing residential heating, air conditioning, and ventilationequipment as well as related accessories.
  • Proficient mechanicalaptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools andequipment.
  • Proficient and able to operate all necessary tools andequipment to perform various service projects.
  • Proficient atreading wiring diagrams and blueprints as well as troubleshootproblems with electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems onresidential HVAC equipment.
  • Proficient and able to properly startup and balance airflow and to properly align belts and pulleys onall residential systems with no supervision.
  • Proficient and ableto install a basic duct fitting.
  • Advance skills introubleshooting and repairing electronic air cleaners,refrigeration systems, hot water systems, steam boiler systems,humidifiers, and related equipment with no supervision.
  • Abilityto calculate heat gain and loss on residential buildings usingapproved methods.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable drivingrecord.
  • Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts asneeded.
  • Ability to stand and walk and to climb ladders and atticstairs and to maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces toaccess HVAC units. Ability to continually climb, balance, stoop,kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
  • Natural or corrected vision to seeand focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depthperception.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and ability to liftand carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
