Job Description

## Position Summary The Transfer Station Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations activities of the transfer station to achieve communicated safety and operational goals and create an environment to encourage team engagement and professional growth and development. ## Key Responsibilities + Oversees daily operations of the transfer station and ensures facility compliance with all federal, state and company standards.+ Monitor’s the transfer stations work processes, procedures, expenses, and establishes programs to drive team performance toward departmental and organizational goals.+ Ensures smooth and efficient operation of the transfer station and that incoming and outgoing transportation is controlled to comply with safety, environmental and other regulatory requirements.+ Develops and improves processes to increase efficiency in material handling and reduce operational costs.+ Inspects work areas and incoming loads to ensure full compliance with facility and material acceptance standards.+ Monitors the cleanliness of the Transfer Station and recycling areas.+ Ensures all required reports and paperwork are completed and submitted daily.+ Manages and provides leadership to team members by effectively communicating, establishing clear goals and objectives, coaching team members on achieving goals, and ensuring access to training and development opportunities that assist employees in attaining the necessary skills to achieve desired team and corporate results.+ Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services while performing any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.+ Ensures compliance with all company, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws regarding employment and employee safety. ## Education, Experience & Qualifications The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and 2

  • 4 years of supervisory experience in transportation, logistics or another related field. Excellent listening, communication, and problem
  • solving skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, and outstanding relationship management skills are required.

A demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment and knowledge and experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment are expected. Although not required, an associates degree in a related field is preferred. ## Attributes Responsible, team
