What You Will Do:

The Director of Engineering leads KCAV’s Engineered Services department, overseeing AV system design, technical standards, and project execution. This role manages departmental operations, supports team development, and ensures all work aligns with company goals and quality expectations. The Director also collaborates across departments, manages vendor relationships, and drives innovation while maintaining compliance with industry standards. Team Leadership & Development Manage, mentor, and support engineering staff in daily operations. Recruit, train, and conduct performance reviews for team members. Promote ongoing learning and professional development within the team. Foster a positive, collaborative culture across departments. Technical & Operational Oversight Contribute to AV system design and review technical documentation. Maintain quote/bid and design project queues for timely execution. Develop and enforce departmental processes and design standards. Track departmental goals, metrics, and labor/resource needs. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance Work with Sales and PM teams to align designs with project scopes. Support budgeting, planning, and alignment with company objectives. Ensure adherence to KCAV policies, safety standards, and procedures. Represent KCAV professionally with clients, vendors, and partners.

What We Are Looking For:

5+ years of AV design, integration, or engineering leadership experience. 3+ years in a management role within AV or technical services. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and AV design software. Strong knowledge of AV control and DSP systems (e.g., Crestron, QSC, Biamp). Skilled in reading and creating AV schematics and construction documents. CTS-D preferred; familiarity with Zoom, Teams, Webex, and related certifications a plus.
