The Sr. Manager for Strategic Program Services manages a team of Strategic Program and Portfolio Managers and is focused on ensuring our largest engagements are delivered in a professional manner. The Sr. PMO manager is responsible for ensuring the team delivers in a consistent manner, provides coaching as needed, and maintains healthy utilization.

Responsibilities:

Maintain staffing levels to ensure alignment with corporate utilization targets and projected pipeline opportunities
Recruitment, interviewing, & forecasting staffing requirements
Ensure SPS Program leads are recording, monitoring, and managing risks and issues to minimize impacts and driving to resolution and closure.
Continued focus on Methodologies & Deployment Process improvements
Ensure rigor and discipline around best practices
Participate in PMO related initiatives as needed
Communicate, support, and ensure adoption of PMO and corporate initiatives
Managing and measuring goals, standards, and KPI’s to ensure team is meeting all business excellence measurements
Maintain appropriate cost center assignment
Develop and maintain team responsible for:
Providing complex RFP support
Supporting large, high impact projects and programs to meet client goals and objectives
Program & Portfolio financial health and reporting
Ensure Program and Portfolio Managers engage in effective strategy, planning, and execution required to run and implement large and complex programs spanning from contract /proposal initiation to full integration with “business as usual”.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
PMP or equivalent project management certification

Work Experience:

10+ years relevant experience with planning and leading Information Technology programs/multiple projects and teams.
Experience working at the “C” level
Possess deep domain expertise across portfolio management and delivery methodologies
Experience in leading IT Program Management resources in a Professional Services industry

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience Managing and guiding the careers of senior level employees
Deep knowledge of WWTs Integrated Management Leadership
Strong leadership skills with ability to develop IT talent, identify and cultivate essential skills and attributes to maximize individual contribution and engagement
Extensive knowledge of technologies and deployment practices
Excellent understanding of financial processes — P&L and financial management
Experience with creating proposals, budgets, SOWs, and Levels-of-Effort
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement change

Working Conditions:

30% – 50% travel required
